Taking the right path, naturally
For as long as I remember, cooking has been my passion. But, it was only in 2015 that I realised I had been cooking similar things all the time. I had spent years cooking animals and using dairy products; it was time for a big change.
The first thing I did was embark on a cleanse and went about detoxifying my mind and body. I decided to do a fast and see how long I could keep it up. Initially, I tried a three week fast, but I found that too hard. My body was use to eating certain things, I could not keep it up. However, I fought off these urges and ended up doing a 67 day fast instead. Consumed with pride, my world had been opened to new and exciting things. To this day, I still fast and find that one meal a day is more than enough to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Through changing the way I ate, it made my outlook on day to day cooking much clearer. I have always been a cook and tried my hand at various chef positions in different restaurants. This never suited me, and now I know why. I was not cooking the right foods; my fast helped me realise that. Through fasting, I learned to cook different vegetation that would be helpful for my body as I would only eat once per day. Soon, I saw how beneficial this was to my overall health. I am never tired; my skin is clear, and I have never felt more comfortable in my body.
It got me thinking, why do more people not live like this? Ask yourself; is the food you eat good enough to eat? If it isn’t, then why do you eat it? The answer is because we have been taught to eat it because we need food. But we are not told how it benefits us or what it does for our bodies. The food you are eating could have the opposite effect and be bad for you in the long term.
One thing I have learnt is if you take the S; out of FAST FOOD what are you left with. really I feel its time to sit down and re think what have we been taught !
What we need is Food For Life. Food that gives us a healthy mind, body, and thoughts. Clean food, raw food that will help our bodies grow and prevent us from getting ill. By having a healthy mind and body, we end up with a happier life.
